Donna and Dave are New Zealanders - in fact we are both born and bred Southlanders.

In her past, Donna trained Thoroughbred racehorses and was a veterinary nurse. Her passion for food remains as our lodge guests attest. Dave is a veterinarian whose particular interests were horses and deer.
We knew we had something special when we purchased our farm in 1995. Tikana is home to a variety of livestock but our Wapiti deer stud is our primary focus. Retirement from veterinary practice before the millennium allowed us to fulfill a dream. Now we derive great pleasure from sharing that dream with our guests in our special patch of New Zealand.
